Chocolate Tofino began from Gordon Austins desire to make people happy using good food, classical techniques, and quality ingredients. In April 2002, Chocolate Tofino started wholesaling gourmet fresh chocolates and cakes to the Tofino restaurant and catering market.

In February 2003, Gordon, and his wife Leah pursued their own personal vision to become Tofino’s premier Chocolatiers. Gaining inspiration and training from two master pastry chefs, George Wagner and Matthias Conradi, Gordon has developed his own line of gourmet chocolates. Gordon has completed his Red Seal qualifications and graduated with honours from the Culinary Arts Program at Malaspina College.

Gordon has served on culinary teams at Malaspina College, Chateau Whistler Resort and the Wickaninnish Inn. Over the years he has participated in chocolate workshops with various famous chocolatiers. He had competed 5 times winning awards many times.

Gordon’s wife Leah, has played an integral role in marketing and administration for the business as well as supporting Gordon in his endeavors. Together they complement each other and make a perfect team.

Both partners look forward to continue to provide Tofino with gourmet, fresh chocolates and icecream.
